Blog Challenge Day # 22 – Promote your business with a free QR Code
Have you got yours yet?
This is a QR Code and it’s the new way to promote your website or to share your contact details and promotions.
It’s scanned by an app on your mobile phone and instantly shows your website address and contact details – you can choose which when you register. QR Codes are appearing on billboards, buses, business cards and all sorts of signage and advertisements – even t-shirts!
I’ve made a little video so you can see how it works…
Go to http://qrcode.kaywa.com/ to get yours. It’s free!!

Thanks so much, Jeanne — fabulous info and video demo!
I was visiting Denise Wakeman’s biz tips blog this past week and I couldn’t help but notice her QR Code. And now you’ve got one, too. I think it’s wonderful to be able to find new and innovative ways to use technology to reach your target audience.
Hi Melanie, I’m so glad you found this useful, and yes, I love that there are so many ways to communicate and advertise – isn’t it just so exciting!
I have been using QR codes for a while Jeanne and love them, soon they will be used for everything on your smart phones, they are about to change the world.
Hi Annie, thanks for your comment. I discovered QR codes a while ago and put one on my business card – it’s a great talking point! You being a Social Media guru, I probably heard about them from you in the first place!
I’ve been using these for a while now. I have one on my website and on my business card. It is actually a lot of fun and a great ice breaker at events as people are just starting to understand what they are. I’ve also used them on adverts with specific information. I wish there was a way to track how many people ‘read’ them!
Yes Bonnie, it would be good if you could track the scans – let’s put it out there and see if someone knows or finds a way!
